How can you utilize your existing PLM platform to gain the business value brought about by IoT? IoT, together with a closed-loop PLM approach, allows better understanding of your customer and eventually improved product designs based on the data collected by IoT products.
However, designing smart, connected products is a more than just mechatronic design. It requires the engineering of a system that aligns a business model with hardware, software and the information logistics between the equipment and the services offered. Your product architecture must support your business model–on a very detailed level.
How can advanced PLM support to master this additional complexity? Will IoT change the way we look at PLM?
