Professor of ICT - Sustainable Manufacturing, EPFL, Switzerland
Prof. Dimitris Kiritsis is a faculty member at the School of Engineering of EPFL and head of the group ICT for Sustainable Manufacturing (http://ict4sm.epfl.ch/). He has more than 25 years of research and teaching experience at EPFL, including initiating and leading international research projects in the domain of Closed-Loop Lifecycle Management with applications of product embedded information devices, product lifecycle modelling and simulation, ontology based engineering, predictive maintenance and engineering asset management as well as sustainable manufacturing. Prof. Kiritsis is also member of several international associations and organisations such as Manufuture-EU, EFFRA, and Manufuture-CH.
Currently he is the Chair of the IFIP WG5.7 on Advanced Production Management Systems (APMS) and Member of the AG LEIT-NMBP of the EC. He is currently involved in the H2020 FoF projects bIoTope, FALCON and SatisFactory, and was also involved in several European projects.
