Virtual Vehicle Research Center is an Austrian Research Institute that investigates and develops methods for virtualization and verification within vehicle development. A major challenge to the virtualization of development is to support engineers with the right amount of information for their specific task and in doing so, raise efficiency and sustainability of their work.
One research focus with automotive OEMs and system suppliers is to enable a System View for engineers both on complex information and data as well as those on the functional level. The handling of engineering data and information needs a significant higher level of information aggregation and integration to provide flexible and cross-cutting views on manifold and separated data. Alternative innovative IT solutions are needed to bridge the gap between engineering demands, enterprise IT strategy and IT security policy.
This session will cover:
- Results from carried-out analyses of real-life engineering boundary conditions
- Demand and requirements for information aggregation in user-centric views
- Overview and prioritisation of relevant technology approaches from the perspective of an information architect
