Presenting: Digital Product Definition and Why Standards Matter - 9 Mar 2016, 02:45
Due to significant growth and diversification of our industry, the typical OEM's role has evolved over the last decades from a high degree of vertical integration, to a focus on product architecture and product integration. As a consequence, collaboration across companies has become a key success factor in today’s product development, requiring strong processes as well as method and tools integration.
This presentation will show:
- Challenges posed by the re-focus on product integration across multiple industrial partners
- The evolution of the supply chain and delivery model
- How the Airbus PLM solution has evolved over the last 10 years
- How the use of open interoperability standards can help overcome some strong challenges
